This dress gets its name from Katharine Blodgett, a surface chemistry trailblazer and GE’s first-ever female scientist. She invented the 'non-reflective glass' technology that we still rely on today for eyeglasses, camera lenses, computer screens, and windshields. Later in life, she poured her savings into science scholarships to help underprivileged girls chase their dreams.
